Best Yoga Channels on YouTube For Beginners

Posted on February 10, 2019February 11, 2019 by Wina
Spread the love

Hi yogis, welcome back to my blog!

I’ve been away for a few weeks now because of the holidays, and then more vacation in the beginning of the year… and to be honest with you all, laziness kicked in. It happens to the best of us..

So I gathered my thoughts back, did some back bending yogi thinking style (haha jk), and came out with an amazing list of contents that I’ll be sharing with you guys in the coming weeks, that I really hope will be able to help yoga beginners to find their journeyΒ πŸ™‚

But for today, I want to share the Best Yoga Channels on YouTube For Beginners! Yay!

This list honestly comes from my experience, I started my yoga practice with all of them and they have honestly helped my journey significantly up until now.

Why I would still suggest going to YouTube to find your daily practice:

  • In case you haven’t heard, it’s FREE.
  • They have so much variety of yoga videos from different styles, causes, duration, and audience! It’s CRAZY
  • It’s on-the-go. You can practice it anywhere you like!
  • It’s good for beginners to slowly getting to yoga, with zero commitment

These are all beginner friendly YouTube channels that are perfect for yoga beginners.

If you want a bit more challenging yoga practice, you can read my review on Alo Moves here, where I practiced a bit more challenging yoga routine.

& If you want to know more about the different yoga types out there, click here to read more on it before jumping into the videos!

Anyway, let’s get down to the list πŸ™‚

best yoga youtube channel

1. Yoga With Adriene

I, love, Adriene.

I always end my practice smiling and loving myself more and more after finishing a practice guided by her videos. Not only the videos are made to be simple and beginner-friendly, she knows a way to make us appreciate ourselves, our practices and our lives.

I learned a lot from her, and it’s not only about yoga. She teaches us about being comfortable, letting things go and how to be free.

She takes her yoga videos seriously, but not really. She knows how to be quirky, crack a joke and just be herself! It feels as though you’re practicing with a friend – and what could be better than that?

She’s the queen of yoga on YouTube for a reason.

She also has her website here:Β https://yogawithadriene.vhx.tv/

I would really recommend starting with her videos if you’re on the lookout to be inspired with yoga. Here is her most viewed video:-

20mil views. It’s crazy!

2. SarahBeth Yoga

One thing I really love about Sarah Beth is her soothing voice. Haha for reals!

I really like my instructors to have good soothing yoga voice, that can make me calm and enjoy my yoga practice, even if they are the most uncomfortable practice I’ve ever had.

Sarah Beth’s videos are abundant! There are videos for any kind of situation that you’re in and she creates different playlists for different video durations! & that’s super convenient. She also always puts alternative poses/props for beginners and for yogi who doesn’t have any of the props that she’s using πŸ™‚

If you’re running late in the morning, you can quickly go through her morning yoga flow that’s below 15 mins. I usually do this πŸ˜€

& Her videos are quick, sharp and you’ll be able to quickly grab what she’s teaching and instructing.Β Here is her most viewed video:

3. TaraStiles

Before I started or even went to my first yoga class, I always watched Tara’s videos, just because πŸ˜€ But yea, just watched. Hehe

Just like Sarah Beth, Tara has one of the most soothing voice that’s perfect when you’re doing yoga. And when you watch her videos, you can really be inspired by her movements as they are all very seamless. She has a wack of making it all look seamless and really get you to try the practice.

Tara is also teaching in other different yoga YouTube channels like LiveStrongWomen, but you can still catch her at her own YouTube channel.

She has a little bit of different style, and sometimes I find them a bit more creative and challenging to be compared with Adriene and Sarah. But some of her videos are not as clear and in high definition like the other 2. So there are pros and cons.

Tara also has her own website:Β http://tarastiles.com/

Here is Tara’s most viewed video:

4. Martina Sergi

The ultimate reason why I’m really into Martina’s videos is because the progress is real.

I knew Martina from Instagram (instagram.com/martina_sergi) and I saw her posts about yogis who have practiced with her videos posting their progress and improvements that they have seen.

It’s really great if you have a specific target that you wanna achieve, because her practice really does work. I tried her flexibility videos and they are extremely helpful!

You can try practicing them for one to two weeks consistently, and you will be able to see the progress!

However, her channel doesn’t have a lot of videos yet, so you won’t get as much variety as you’d get with other yoga channels.

With that being said, you can try her yoga splits flow below, and find out for yourself if this practice gave you any kind of improvement πŸ™‚

5. Yoga Dose

Okay, one of the things that the above 4 channels have in common is that they are all guided by women! πŸ˜‰

For Yoga Dose, the instructor is called Tim and if you’d like to try a different synergy of having a male instructor, you can definitely check his yoga videos out.

He will take you on your yoga journey guiding you to work on your strength first and building towards a slightly more challenging practice for you to keep on growing. Some other yoga YouTube channels don’t necessarily do this.

And from my experience and personal preference, I really love to do strengthening sequence guided by a male yoga instructor. Not sure why, not being double standard. I just feel the energy is a bit different, in a good way πŸ™‚

Here is Tim’s most viewed video on YouTube:-

But… My Favorite Is….

I gotta say that I do have a favorite amongst these 5 Yogi YouTubers! & it’s definitely is…..

Yoga With Adriene!

I know that she’s super famous and yogi superstar in YouTube but I really believe there’s a reason why she has so so many followers. Once you get on your mat with her videos, she knows how to spark joy and make you feel so grateful with your life.

And that’s exactly what I want you and any yoga beginners out there to feel, when you first starting out with yoga.

I hope my list helps you in some way.

Let me know down below if you have done any yoga practice with any of them! πŸ™‚

Till my next post, Namaste.
